Just Thoughts
So as the title suggests, I'm gonna be doing something a bit different today. I normally blog on things that are really concrete and easy to put into a box with a title, etc etc. Today's blog is just some thoughts I've had in my head forever, but I don't think it falls into a category. It's Just Thoughts.
The first thing, why do people always think from only one side of the story? This applies in many situations. Books, real life, reel life. And, more than often its the side that the story is being told from. nobody thought about how Peter Pettigrew had been compelled to join Voldemort only because he was the one overlooked from the Marauders. Nobody thought about how in Mahabharata, Duryodhana fought that war only because he had been told, in fact, assured that he would be king. All his life. That idea is quite frankly very debated, but my sister and I have had too many discussions on it to be ignored.
Second, why is 'A first impression a last impression? To be honest, this makes absolutely zero sense to me. Some might argue its human nature, and maybe it is. But I think that if all of us judged people from the first time we met them, the world would be a very judgmental place indeed. The reality is, many of us don't actually pay attention to the details of someone's day. Here's a situation, What if you met someone, and they just seemed awfully drab to you. And then you came to know, that someone close to them had just passed away. Would you think differently then? The next time you meet them, they're as happy as a lark, having gotten over the loss. What would you feel then?
This idea is not that new, but my feelings about reading. Now, if you're like me, and you've ever read a good book, then you know what an emotional roller coaster it is. The amazing thing? Through books and characters we have feelings about situations that never happened, and people that never even existed (this sentence has been so hard to type though). Our eyes can scan symbols on a piece of paper, our brain puts together sounds they stand for, creates scenarios out of it and then makes us experience what the creator of those symbols wanted us to experience. That is just unfathomable.
While I was coming up with this blog, I had researched a bunch of websites. There was a tip that caught my eye. It said, 'BE YOU'. It's disturbing how many of us don't want to follow this advice. Don't go around copying people because they're cool. In fact, don't copy people at all. Get inspired, there's a difference. Getting inspired means seeing where someone is in life and aspiring to be there too. And not just aspiring, working toward that. 'Copying' is just taking what someone has worked hard on and making it your own. Don't do that. Be you, and don't be afraid to do it.
Sooooo, that's my Just Thoughts for today! Also, exciting news! I came fifth out of sixteen people for my singing competition in school! It's not much, but, I still won something! I'm gonna try and work my way up from there. Let me know in the comments what you think of this post, and I'll see you next week. Bieeeee💛💛💛💛

ReplyDeleteYour thoughts... are not just thoughts. These are pearls of wisdom which most adults and probably half of the world's population has lost from their beings or have chosen to ignore as part of their evolving. Never loose this. Will be useful when you most need it in life. Proud of you.

ReplyDeleteI'm a renowned blogger and I like your blog, your selection of content and the name too
ReplyDeleteHere are a few areas you need to improve
Do not be too personal.. there is nothing wrong in boasting about your achievements but try not to be personal.. if this is open to the public.. you have already disclosed you family's identity.
It's too early to start an event.. your blog doesn't have many viewers does it? you won't get much attention
Stop deleting rude comments.. if you delete comments it will repel the audience.. everyone likes to read about the fun and insults insanity in the comments..I dk if you have done so but every new blogger does that.
