Dear Diary,
I'm so sorry for not writing for sometime. The thing is that Ganesh Chaturthi was just around the corner, so I was really busy. But now since it is over I can tell, taking my own sweet time.

So, I missed the decorations. Ganpati was at my aunt's house, as always. I feel like her Ganpati is the family's Ganpati. Back to the point, I missed decoration because of my Trinity exam. the whole time, there was only one thing in my mind, 'This better be good, because I missed the best part of the celebrations for it.' the Ganpati was eco-friendly, made with clay and painted with organic pastes. The decoration was really simple this time, nothing very extravagant. This was what gave it an extra personal touch and made it even more beautiful for me. All the guests were to arrive in the evening, so I studied for sometime after reaching there. I got ready, wearing my best traditional chania-choli. I also had the task of attempting to make my little sister, Ananya's hair behave. Surprisingly, I succeeded. When the gusts arrived, I was very excited as my favorite cousin Prinyanka, was about to arrive. When she arrived, I was so happy, I hugged her tightly. All of us cousins had a blast together. We met only once a year at Ganpati, and that's what makes our time together even more special. We played all sorts of games, running around the house and having a blast.

When all of them left, Priyanka stayed behind, she had a surprise for me. She was going to stay over! I was jumping from foot to foot. the next morning, my mother, father, aunt, uncle, my elder brother, Priyanka and me got going for Visarjan. I was feeling very lonely after the immersion. I hated this part. But even Lord Ganesha misses home, doesn't he? I will forever remember this Ganesh Chaturthi as the best of my life.
