The Dummies' Guide to Expression
Hullo! Back with a new post. So sorry it couldn't be a drawing, but I promise that's coming soon too. More on today's topic, a "Dummies' Guide" is essentially something difficult or challenging to understand, explained in layman's terms. I'm gonna explain expression using writing in the way that I conceive it.
To most people, writing is an art shrouded with the misconception that 'only those who can do it can it.' It is actually quite contrary. Expression comes from within, and it is important to know how to do it, rather than thinking you don't have the talent. And of course, you can't express without language. The limits of your language are the limits of your world. And a different language is a different vision of the world. The first step is to know the language well. Vocabulary, grammar, you must know everything like the back of your own hand. This may sound really intimidating, but its not that arduous. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Talk it, read it, and live it.
The way to express is through your imagination. You must be able to see how people will look at your work. No one has more or less imagination, they just don't know how to harness it and put it to use on the things they work on. As Albert Einstein said, logic will get you from A to B, but imagination will take you everywhere. The next step is to find out the best way to get your imagination and creative powers to listen to you and conceive a plot, idea to write on, whatever. Perhaps imagination is only intelligence having fun. Once this is done, the fun begins.
Writing is not a breeze. It takes hours of first drafts, second drafts, and let's not get started on proof reading. But that is what it makes it so amazing, so therapeutic for me. And trust me, the satisfaction and pride you feel after you complete something is well worth the hours, days, weeks spent on a single piece. That is the reason you work so hard on something. It is a wondrous feeling when you read something and just know the author has put their blood, sweat, and soul into creating the object you hold in front of you. So, go ahead, put the pen to the paper, and let the words flow out of you, like water flows from a dam. And don't stop until you know you have done better than your best. Write until writing is simply thinking through your fingertips.

(P.S- you have no clue how many drafts I needed for this short essay)
Well done! So proud of you.
